Round Table Institute
Real Solutions for Real Life!

The central task of education is to implant a will and facility for learning; it should produce not learned but learning people. The truly human society is a learning society, where grandparents, parents, and children are students together. In a time of drastic change it is the learners who inherit the future. The learned usually find themselves equipped to live in a world that no longer exists.

My Mission

Before extending my personal invitation to read further, it is likely you would want to know to whom is this information directed? Who should read this?
It is intended to benefit:
  • clergy or pastors in all sort of conventional to unconventional ministry settings
  • bishops or judicatory leaders looking for a clergy retreat leader to inspire clergy
  • Senior Leaders of congregations
  • non-profit or philanthropic organizations, or denominations
  • Any faith-based organization, congregation(s), diocese or judicatory in transition, or in need of getting “unstuck;”
  • those interested in becoming an intentional Learning Wisdom Community, fully resourced to meet the challenges of ministry, of service and of fundraising;
  • those seeking to become more missional-minded
  • those seeking solutions
The nature of my consulting services are embodied by the concept of The Round Table and by The Institute of Christian Studies, both of which have a great deal to do with the deliberate development and formation of Learning Wisdom Communities.

Wherever your organization might be “stuck” or feel under-resourced, The Round Table Institute of Christian Studies will facilitate the intentional formation of Learning Wisdom Communities for the purpose of becoming “unstuck,” capable of meeting the many, if not overwhelming, challenges of imagining and realizing a more viable future for ministry, and prepared to move forward for the successful fulfillment of your intentional purpose and call.

The Significance of "Round Table"

The Round Table is a universal sign representing mutual conversation, harmony, equality of persons gathered in a circular fashion and is thick with meaning for relationally deep and restorative fellowship.

But when persons are perceived and perceive themselves to be of equal value, the only way possible to experience this in a relational way is when we are at a place where the last can be first and the first can be last, which is what it means to be in a circle, perhaps even holding hands. So each one in the circle takes turns being last then first, or first then last.

“So the last will be first, and the first will be last”
(Mt. 20:16, NRSV; Mk. 10:31 and Luke 13:30)
